The Importancia of Networking

You’ve heard the phrase “It’s who you know.” 🤝

Pero, while your friends may have hundreds of connections on LinkedIn, you have a secret weapon, a person who REALLY knows you: a proud tía.👸

Just like your proud tía will help by talking her friends’ ears off about you, networking makes it so you have a BUNCH of proud tías in all different areas of your industry.✨ @entrepreneur says that business leaders prefer to enact important transactions with people they trust. So, you want all your work tías to know and trust you as much as your Latina tías do! Which happens through networking. 🙌

The good news is, career networking doesn’t involve eating way too much food your tías serve you because “te estás poniendo flaca!”😳 It does, however, involve putting yourself out there through things like networking events and your alumni organization. ✍️

While you should network within your industry 💯, don’t discount the promotional strength your tías have to help you out! Because you do NOT want to deal with their silent treatment come Noche Buena. 🎄
