401k or 401que?

401k or 401que?

Who can relate? 🙋🏽‍♀️

It can be daunting to figure out your retirement options at first, pero ¡si se puede! Be patient with yourself, and don’t be scared to ask for help.

Your future retired self 👴🏽will thank you for being proactive about your 401k, even if your current younger self 👶🏽 is like “401 qué?”

Don’t want to be “401 que?” anymore? “If you are a Latino and already invest in a 401(k) plan or a brokerage account, make it a point to share your investing experience with other Latinos,” writes investment advisor Louis Barajas in an article with NBC News.

To answer the question, “401 qué?”, 401k is an employee-sponsored plan that takes a percentage of your paycheck to save for a retirement fund.

This can be done by the employee each paycheck pre- or post-tax.
