2023’s 5 Iconic Financial Moments

Alrighty 2023 was quite the roller, and in there were a few moments that will stay ingrained in the 2023 history book.

These are some of the most iconic financial moments of 2023.

1. EGG-FLATION 🍳was a SCAM: Can you believe it? While we were all confused as to why egg prices looked like Mexican pesos, corporations were monetizing secretly. HOW DARE THEY! However, according to Fortune Magazine, egg producers must pay at least $18 million in damages.

2. Cafecito ☕️ HIT AN ALL TIME HIGH: Not sure about you but cafecito hitting that all-time high, is one of the most depressing news! AKA budgeting a treat-yo-self day has become a serious affair. Remember, not every day is a treat-yo-self day; we’ve got budgets to stick to!

3. STUDENT LOANS MADE A COMEBACK 💸: Milestone unlocked- our FIRST student loan payment. While it was truly a bummer to find out that loans were not magically canceled, creating a plan to become debt-free is our next best option. There are still a few benefits like not having to fully pay interest rates on student loans until next year!

4. AI REPLACED A LOT OF US 💻: Artificial Intelligence swooped us away like the cutest telenovela heartthrob. The cost of that was many people losing their jobs. Again, DEPRESSION!  But hey, AI still needs a human touch, so let’s show them who’s the real boss! 💪

5. NO RECESSION ⚔️💵: Amidst the chaos, we proved our resilience. While talks of a recession linger, we’re still standing strong. Preparation is key, so keep a close eye on your budget and beef up that emergency fund! 👀💰
